Centennial Park Grand Openings
On August 29, Centennial Park celebrated the grand opening of the Croquet Café and its new Event Pavilion, completing the revitalization of the park's north side. The café transforms the park's historic 1963 Croquet Clubhouse into its first permanent dining destination, operated as a non-profit by the Centennial Park Conservancy in partnership with Metro Parks Nashville, with proceeds supporting the park and its free public programming. So+Co Community co-founders Eric Cook and Jason Somerville were among the donors who supported the project, which Eric, as chair of the Conservancy's board, helped shepherd through a multi-year capital effort. It is a lasting gathering place for the Nashville community, and an example of the shared investment that keeps the city's public and cultural life thriving.
